DESCRIPTION:
Valley Manor is a dynamic and progressive Long-Term Care Home. We are a rural, fully Accredited facility, offering quality nursing care in a friendly & welcoming environment. We are committed to the safety of our residents and to compliance with the LTCHA legislation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Registered Practical Nurse with a current (or temporary) certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Vulnerable Sector Check valid within the last 6 months or can obtain one, please be proactive and start the process now.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post RN education and experience in gerontology or related field preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills, assessment, interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to supervise, and provide direction to RPNs, PSWs and other staff
- Ability to multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing resident-focused care in a long-term care setting
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with RAI-MDS, Point-Click-Care and electronic MAR is very beneficial
- Knowledge related to the Long-Term Care Homes Act (FLTCA)
- Completes Mandatory Education as assigned, and has a desire for ongoing learning
- Attends Staff Meetings
