DESCRIPTION:
Valley Manor is a dynamic and progressive Long-Term Care Home. We are a rural, fully Accredited facility, offering quality nursing care in a friendly & welcoming environment. We are committed to the safety of our residents and to compliance with the FLTCHA legislation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Personal Support Worker Certificate or Developmental Service Worker Certificate.
- Education qualifications must be from an Accredited post-secondary institution.
- Vulnerable Sector Check valid within the last 6 months or can obtain one, please be proactive and start the process now.
DUTIES:
- Provide resident care in accordance with administrative policies, physician's orders and established standards, and LTC legislation and Regulations
- Assist with training of nursing personnel
- Responsible for proper care of equipment
- Assist with admission, transfer/discharge of a resident
- Commitment to providing resident-focused care in a long-term care setting
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with Point-Click-Care and electronic MAR is an asset
- Completes Mandatory Education as assigned, and has a desire for ongoing learning
- Attends Staff Meetings and any other related duties
STARTING WAGE: $25.92
Pay Transparency Notice: This is a unionized position. Compensation is established by the collective agreement. All new employees start at the applicable entry rate. Prior experience does not alter the starting wage. Wage increases, where applicable, occur in accordance with the collective agreement.
