DESCRIPTION:
Valley Manor is a dynamic and progressive Long-Term Care Home. We are a rural, fully Accredited facility, offering quality nursing care in a friendly & welcoming environment. We are committed to the safety of our residents and to compliance with the LTCHA legislation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Laundry Aide (experience in Long Term Care an asset)
- Education qualifications must be from an Accredited post-secondary institution
- Vulnerable Sector Check valid within the last 6 months or can obtain one, please be proactive and start the process now.
DUTIES:
- Follows specific instructions for labeling, pick up, sorting, washing, drying and distribution of resident personal laundry and home’s linen supply.
- Provides all aspects of environmental cleaning in assigned work areas;
- Using specified cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing agents, maintains optimal levels of infection control within the work area;
- Assists in maintaining laundry facilities, equipment and supplies;
- Ensures privacy of residents during performance of duties;
- Participates in in-service programs arranged by the home;
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are low or equipment is malfunctioning;
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

STARTING WAGE: $20.77
Pay Transparency Notice: This is a unionized position. Compensation is established by the collective agreement. All new employees start at the applicable entry rate. Prior experience does not alter the starting wage. Wage increases, where applicable, occur in accordance with the collective agreement.
